About the Market

We are a community-based Farmers' Market venue for local producers to sell directly to their customers. The market is operated by the Bridgewater Farmers' Market Association, a non-profit society. Every Saturday, from May through October, our vendors gather along the side of the former Bridgewater Memorial Arena at 123 Empire Street (corner of Empire & Churchill St.) in Bridgewater, NS, on Nova Scotia's beautiful South Shore.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Town of Bridgewater.

The Town of Bridgewater has been supporting our market for many years, including our annual Food Truck Party.

Thanks to a grant from the  Resource Recovery Fund Board (RRFB), we have been able to buy two sorting stations to help our customers and vendors to properly dispose of their waste.

Picked at their prime, and grown or produced close to home - check out our vegetables, seasonal fruits, bread and baked goods, condiments, plants & flowers, fresh honey, meat, fish, free-range eggs, and more. The Bridgewater Farmers' Market is a vital part of the Community. Our vendors bring a varied selection of products they grow, pick, make or bake themselves to sell to you - our guarantee of quality, freshness and sustainable farming and production practices.

Centrally located, the Market is easily accessible on foot, by car and by public transit (Bus Stop #20). You can't miss our brightly coloured tents and displays. Bring a friend. Grab a coffee and stay a while and enjoy live music from local musicians.

Our Holiday Markets

In December 2015 we started with two Sunday markets in December. Since then our Holiday Markets have increased to five day and our vendor numbers have doubled.
