Market Opens This Saturday: June 2

The Bridgewater Farmers' Market Launches it's 4th Season this Saturday with more vendors, more variety, music and more. Come meet old friends, make new ones and spend some time with us on King Street between Dominion and Emprire. Look for our new sign.


This Saturday June 2, 2012 marks the opening of the 4th season of the Bridgewater Farmers Market. This year we have more than 14 vendors offering a wide variety of locally produced fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, candles, soaps, pastries, baked goods, garden transplants, wood craft and much more.

The vendors confirmed for the Market opening are: Rumtopf Farm, R&R Corkum Farm, Watershed Farm, Airstream Café (formerly Waffles on a Stick), Boulangerie La Venedéene, The Lilley Pad Candles & Soaps, Joyce's Perennials, FOTE Farm, Indian Garden Farms, Pine to Products, Sue's Homemade Granola and Traditional Evergreen Tree Farms.

Beyond regular market fare, the Market will showcase local performers and entertainers. To start things off international singer-songwriter, Darren Arsenault, will entertain with his bluesy originals between 9:30 and noon. Visitors and patrons are encouraged to relax enjoy the wonderful music with a snack or a drink. 

In the coming weeks there will be performances from David MacDonald and Wendy Demarco, Patrick Thompson, Makeshift; different entertaiment each week.

The Bridgewater Farmers' Market supports the initiatives of community organizations and offers a community table to enable them to promote their causes, raise funds and build awareness. Some of the community groups that will be at the market this year include: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Second Story Women's Center, Bridgewater Pathfinders and Rangers, and the Growing Green Festival. The Market has a number of the weekly spaces to welcome other community organizations over the course of this market season, please contact us if interested.
