The Bridgewater Farmers' Market is looking for a market manager/coordinator.
The Bridgewater Farmers' Market is looking for a part-time market manager/coordinator. The work ranges from helping with logistics on market day and tracking important market data to scheduling day vendors and musicians as well as working on market promotions.
We are looking for a person who is passionate about farmers markets, organized, able to communicate with all market stakeholders and understand their priorities, as well as physically able to help with set-up/take down of signs, tables and more. Experience in fundraising and in marketing on a shoestring budget would be a definite asset. We offer a small honorarium together with in-kind contributions from our vendors.
If you are interested, don't hesitate to contact us! In April, Farmers Markets of Nova Scotia (FMNS) is offering 40 hrs of free Market Manager Training and it would be fantastic if our new manager had a chance to participate. The training has been designed for both people who have not attended any manager training sessions and graduates of previous programs. This is a chance to dig into the topics, issues, concerns, and challenges of growing farmers' markets.
