2021 Market Meal Fundraiser

Ordering will open soon for our 2021 fundraiser. Help support the market and enjoy a fresh, deliciously local meal at the same time!

Ordering opens on November 1st for our 2021 Market Meal fundraiser.

Pre-order online for pick-up between noon and 5pm on Saturday, November 13th. A limited number of meals are available- so don't delay! Each meal includes a main (meat or vegetarian), side and dessert.

The pulled pork sandwich is the star here. Pigs have been donated by the Farmers' Coop and have been raised in a happy, healthy environment. They have enjoyed a summer of fresh vegetables, belly rubs and ear scratches. Like knowing where your food comes from? We do too, so we raised these pigs just for you! The pigs will be roasted whole, on-site in a professional charcoal pig roasting box. It'll take some time, but we think it's worth it. Homemade barbeque sauce will take this tender pulled pork to the next level. Finally, we'll load it onto a fresh ciabatta bun from Julien's Bakery.

Prefer a vegetarian option? No problem - we've got you covered. A seasonal vegetable pot pie is the perfect way to enjoy the variety of vegetables available late in Nova Scotia's growing season. A little bit of this and a little bit of that (from our very own produce vendors- Rumtopf Farm, Indian Garden Farms and Century Homestead Farm) with a smooth vegetable gravy will have you wondering what all the fuss is about with the pork we mentioned.

What's a main without a side? Boring, that's what. Once again, local, seasonal produce shines here, particularly those fresh, satisfyingly crunchy vegges like carrots and cabbage. Coleslaw tossed in a creamy dressing, a classic winner.

Finally, dessert - because we're not monsters. With apples from Indian Garden Farms, and a delicious pastry crafted by Julien's Bakery, our French apple tart will steal your heart.

We'll give you a couple days to decide how many meals you can eat in one night, and meet you back here with a magical link that's going to make this mouthwatering dream a reality.
