We are lookingfor some individuals who are passionate about both local food and food producers, and the community. The successful candidates will be willing to learn and grow into managing and supporting the operations of our market and working with the local network of producers, entrepreneurs, consumers, and community members.

Here is some more information on the positions we are hiring for:

Market Manager or Market Manager Trainee (PT, hourly rate dependent on experience and qualifications))

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, creative, professional, and enjoys interacting with vendors, customers, musicians, and members of the public and guide our farmers' market into its next phase of development. Eventually, this will be a largely unsupervised, and self-directed role.

Assistant Market Manager (8-week term, 35 hrs/week, $14.50/hr)

The Assistant Market Manager will support the market manager in thier duties. This can include any or all of the following: recruiting primary and secondary producers, scheduling vendors, musicians, and presenters, networking with other community organizations, public relations, marketing & advertising, and developing educational programming for youth and market shoppers. On market day, duties include supporting vendors in setting up their stalls as necessary, collecting table fees, looking after musicians and educational program providers, recording of market statistics, e.g. customer counts.

Market Assistant (9-week term, 30 hours/week, $14/hr)

The Market Assistant will support the operation of the market on market day; deliver educational programming, take pictures and promote the market on social media, accept card payments on behalf of vendors and sell merchandise from the market's 'general store'. They will research and schedule social media posts, seasonal recipes, etc. as directed by market management.
